WNBA regular season, one of the most consequential in league history is in the books. After a rather anti-climactic final night on Thursday, all of the playoff seeds have been determined and the first-round playoff matchups are set.

They got their wish by reaching the postseason with a 78-67 win over the New York Liberty on Thursday night, with the visitors' victory in the regular-season finale clinching the eighth and final seed for the WNBA playoffs. The same two teams will meet again when the postseason tips off Sunday.

The New York Liberty have clinched the No. 1 overall seed and home-court advantage throughout the WNBA playoffs by virtue of their 87-71 victory over the Washington Mystics on Tuesday night. This is the first time the Liberty have been the No.

New York, Minnesota, Connecticut, Las Vegas, Seattle, Indiana and Phoenix are in the playoffs. One spot remains.

More than half of the WNBA playoff seeds are set with the New York Liberty clinching the No. 1 seed on Tuesday night. The rest of the postseason matchups will be determined when the regular season closes out on Thursday night.
